Constance P. Brunt to serve on new Collaborative Law Committee established by the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association: The Dispute Resolution Section of the ABA has authorized the formation of a Collaborative Law Committee to encourage the responsible use of Collaborative Law, to monitor and advise the Section Council about developments in Collaborative Law, and to help the Dispute Resolution Section to establish relationships with other organizations interested in Collaborative Law. As the sole representative from Pennsylvania, Ms. Brunt is one of approximately 45 members of this nationwide Committee.

Constance P. Brunt appointed as Family Law Section Liaison to the Pennsylvania Bar Association ADR Committee: Ms. Brunt was appointed by the Chair of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association to serve as the Liaison from that Section to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Bar Association.

Constance P. Brunt to serve as Co-Chair of Collaborative Law Sub-Committee of Pennsylvania Bar Association ADR Committee: Ms. Brunt was appointed as the Co-Chair of the newly-created Collaborative Law Sub-Committee of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. The appointment is effective October, 2005. The Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee's role is to address current issues of mediation, arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution processes. The Committee conducts professional education programs in alternative dispute resolution, studies and recommends standards of practice for neutrals, and proposes and monitors legislation regarding alternative dispute resolution. The Collaborative Law Sub-Committee will focus specifically on the developing practice of collaborative law throughout Pennsylvania.

February 2004
Constance P. Brunt elected Chair of Independent Collaborative Attorneys of Central Pennsylvania: Ms. Brunt was elected the first Chair of the newly formed Independent Collaborative Attorneys of Central Pennsylvania at its February, 2004 meeting. She will serve in this office through the end of 2004. The ICACP is a group of independent attorneys trained in collaborative law, who are committed to assisting parties to resolve family law disputes with minimal conflict and without resort to litigation. Ms. Brunt was a founding member of ICACP.
